Lead by Mizuho YOSHII of Mahler Chamber Orchestra, five Japanese female players established oboe ensemble “Oboe Five.”
In September 2009, debut concerts were held in Tokyo and Kamakura.
Reflecting each member’s personality, they played oboe d’amore and English horn also. The splendid sound of the ensemble attracted many audiences.
All the members studied under Thomas Indermuhle of The Karlsruhe Hochschule fur Musik. Although they currently play in their own orchestras, they will actively perform in “Oboe Five” for the future
