Minkyu Yoon was Born 1977 in Seoul as a son of the Oboist at the Seoul Philharmonic; 1985  First oboe lesson with father in Seoul, and 1990 Yewon Arts School in Seoul, he continued his studies in Germnay in 1994. Lessons with Gernot Schmalfuß (Assistenz) at the Hochschule for Music Detmold, Germany and also experienced a lecturer at 6 music colleges : Seoul City National University, Kyungbuk National, Dankuk Universit, Yewon arts school, Seoul arts Highschool, Pohang arts Highschool.

Minkyu won various international contests : “Arenzano 2001″ in Genova, Italy, “Isle of wight” in UK , 2004  ”Händel Festspiele”in Germany 2005 “Fernand Gillet-Hugo Fox” in USA, 2006 Audi-Mozart in Italy.

Minkyu  has performed as a soloist in the Orchestra Bochumer Symphoniker, the Korean Symphony Orchestra, Sungnam Symphony Orchestra, Handel Festival Orchestra, Kassel Staatstheater Orchester, The Sinfonietta, I’ Orchestra Sinfonica Haydn, Seoul Sinfonieta, Jeonju Symphony Orchestra, Detmolder Kammerorcheter.

He has performed at several international music festivals in Europe, Ludwigsburger Schloss Festspiel, Wurzburg Mozart Festspiel, Handel Festspiel, IDRS (International Double reed Society), Isle of Wight International Oboe Festival, Lindenbaum Music Festival in Seoul has recorded Der Spiegel Von Arkadien Franz Xaver Sussmayr with Consortium Classicum for DG.

In 2006, Minkyu became the principal oboist with Bochumer symphoniker in Germany and has been principal oboist in SFO (Seoul Arts center Festival Orchestra) in Seoul Korea.
