Marigaux oboe 901
Born in Offenburg (Germany) in 1970, Stefan Schilli won in 1996 the first prize at the Prague's Spring International Music Competition and shortly afterwards won the 45th International ARD Competition in Munich. In 1990, Stefan became the principal oboist with the Opera House in Freiburg and has been principal oboist in the Symphonieorchester des Bayrischen Rundfunks since 1991 with François Leleux. He has performed as a soloist and chamber musician all over the world and has recorded all the Vivaldi and Hoffmann oboe concertos as well as works by Pasculli, Schumann, Poulenc, Haas and Skalkottas. He also has completed three recordings with the Avalon wind quintet (works by Schönberg, Cambini, Milhaud and Ravel) for Naxos and Arte Nova.
